Bookplates to front pastedowns, title pages in black and red. Vol. I: 616 p., illustrated with 53 copper plate engravings including frontispiece portrait of the author. Upper board and frontispiece separated from text block, text block showing significant damage along side that is attached to spine. Title label absent. General wear, aging, and scattered minor creases and tears. Overall solid. Vol. II: 493 p. + 78 p. index. Illustrated with 34 copper plate engravings.
