One of the very earliest Abstract Expressionist exhibitions in the United States. Includes works by Joseph Albers, Alexander Archipenko, Hans Arp, Herbert Bayer, Ilya Bolotowski, Constantin Brancusi, Georges Braque, Byron Brown, Alexander Calder, and amybe 60 others for a total of 74 exhibited works. Includes one work by David Smith from 1937. Illustrations of works by Picasso, Braque, Duchamp, Kandinsky, Davis, Gris, Morris, Miro, Calder, Mondrian, Domela-Nieuwenhuis, Richter, Holtzman, Greene, Xceron and Holty.
