Newtown: Gwasg Gregynog, 2002. One of only 20 copies in a special binding with an additional suite of 9 linocuts signed by the artist. One of only 20 specially bound copies, this no. III, with an extra suite of 9 linocuts signed by the binder and artist, of a total edition of 295. 57 lincocut illustrations by Kyffin Williams including 6 in black and a colour and including a large folidng image of a waterfall. Designed by Kyffin Williams & David Vickers and printed on T.H. Saunders Waterford mould-made paper in Monotype Baskerville typeface. Oblong 4to., bound by Alan Wood to a design by Kyffin Williams in original full black morocco, each cover with inlaid panel of white calf blocked in black on each side with images by Kyffin Williams, a farmer with his dog on the upper cover with an onlaid citron morocco sun and a sheepdog on the lower cover, suede doublures, endpapers with design by Williams. Housed in the oirginal yellow and taupe clamshell box with a hinged lid with Williams' self portrait stamped on it in gilt, the extra linocuts are in a card folder in the box. Completed 4 years before his death, this large selection of linocuts are used to describe the life in North Wales as observed by Kyffin Williams in his words and remarkable images. The 9 extra linocuts are all monogrammed by the artist and numbered 3/85.
