Original calf boards and endpapers, front hinge fragile and stringing showing. Original morocco label, the largest of the folding plates showing horse tackle for the bridle has been folded wrongly and several fold/crease lines more than normal, a thumb print on the edge of the final plate and a couple of pages also have the odd light handling mark. Hand-made laid paper. *Dedicatory to the King. And contents show how to; How to get horses to stand fire + Lying Down in water + To leap all obstacles + Basic mounting and reigning in + getting men firmly horse bound + Disregard dead horses, To stand quiet when being shot at, etc. + passages on Horse Shoeing and general management. A Firm enough and good to Vg copy. Small octavo (smaller than the Abe explanation of sizes, but bound in 8's, hence octavo).
