Beowulf - - 1932. 
Random House, New York 1932 - Large quarto volume. From a limited edition of 950 numbered copies, this one being number 98. This copy now specially bound in full black goat skin, elaborately blind tooled, black on black. This background is then enhanced with a black and red celtic knot pattern. The front board is then further decorated with a silver lined depiction of a warrior. This image is a replica of the original design motif from the Random House publication. Beautiful bronze and black scallop patterned endpapers. Now housed in a large 1/4 leather black drop-back box with beautiful large red title letters to the spine. With eight lovely lithographs executed by Rockwell Kent. This copy is "signed" by a thumb print from Rockwell Kent at the limitation page, as usual with this title. However, it is signed again at the half-title in cursive with yet another finger print below that - I don't know for certain which digit. Verse translation by William Ellery Leonard.
