L. of Los Angeles; the exhibition catalogue raisonne also printed by Gemini for the Museum of Modern Art, exhibition curated by Riva Castleman; the softcover catalogue has 108 pp. with 364 illustrations, including 20 in color and 3 illustrations are fold-outs; also it has the original short text sheet about the exhibition and the print/multiple which it has a small spot on it; "Gemini revolutionized the creation of the art object in America allowing artists such as Albers, Johns, Kelly, Lichtenstein, Oldenburg, Rauschenberg and Stella to create high quality impressions within the United States rather than the traditional workshops of France. Therefore, it is only fitting that this book begins with a Johns' Target, which some may say in a tongue and cheek manner, is an object [for a] d'art."; OF INTEREST: a July auction of this item on Paddle8 Lot 25 brought $950.00; foam pad has normal browning and some of the paint pad's pigment on it; rubbing & marks to the white plastic box; the color paint pots and brush are still attached; overall the print, 3 paint pots, brush, and catalogue in very good cond; there are some faint yellow marks on the front of the plastic clamshell box otherwise all in VERY GOOD COND.
