Printed for T. Cadell , in the Strand, London 1787 - Quarto. 518, (2) pages. Hardcover bound in half leather with marbled paper-covered boards. The spine has been rebacked, probably in the late 19th or early 20th century. Some splitting to the leather at the top of the rear hinge; surface creasing to the leather of the spine. Original marbled paper-covered boards. The binding is worn with old scuffs and spine abrasions but is sound. Corners bumped. Spine label is a little chipped. There is an early owner's signature of David Gordon at the top of the title page. Text is sound and clean. Complete with all 5 folding maps. The large map has a tear at the gutter and fold. A nice copy with clean text. All of the maps are in decent condition. [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
