Small 4to, [8], "200" [218], [13] p., signed blank before title (signature mark A in ornamental frame), marginal tear in B1, light waterstain towards beginning, some spotting at end, contemp. brown morocco, skilfully rebacked with spine laid down, a very nice copy.The 12th-13th century poem of medical advice given in Latin with the verse translation by Philemon Holland (his only essay into verse?) "Hee that takes Garlicke early in the morne / Needs let no drinke by him to be forborne." With translation by Thomas Paynell of the commentary by Arnaldus de Villanova, and an appendix on fish as healthy food.
