In the first issue dustjacket, unclipped (priced $3.75), with publisher's name printed flush along the lower edge of the spine panel and price printed directly along the upper edge of the front flap; hint of sunning to spine, handful of tiny nicks to extremities, with a small, faint splash mark mid-spine; quite presentable, Very Good+ example. The author's first book, winner of the National Book Award and the Houghton Mifflin Literary Fellowship Award. The title novella was the basis for Larry Peerce's Oscar-nominated film of the same name, starring Richard Benjamin, Ali MacGraw, and Jack Klugman. [Attributes: First Edition]
