Old Testament Bible; Machabees: Manuscript Leaf - Bible: Old Testament: Machabee - 1888.

(Scan shows front of the leaf with numeral I at top, chapter number II on side, initial I; paper frame not shown, but provided). In fine condition. Most likely from one of the sets of the various series of the "Original Leaves from Famous Books" or Bible Leaf sets, prepared & published by Cleveland, Ohio based artist & art instructor, Otto Ege (1888-1951), or an "extra" owned by Otto Ege & later by our founder, Peter Keisogloff (1900-95). We cannot guarantee the accuracy of the details given in the penciled identification, but this is a genuine hand written vellum Bible leaf, (not a facsimile) and was made during the 13th-15th century period in Western Europe.
