Tiadatha Archive, inc. holograph MSS [including - Owen Rutter - 1935. [1215130]
Fisher Unwin / Philip Allan, UK - Archive of five items, outlined as follows: 1. Song of Tiadatha scrapbook. It's assumed that this scrapbook has been put together by the author. Primarily made up of clippings (we presume from the Balkan News where the book was serialised) of the 18 parts. It also contains dozens of clippings from newspapers reviewing the work, many hand-drawn sketches, letters to Rutter, postcards, a plethora of material. Probably around 250 items in total, all pasted in. 2. The Song of Tiadatha, The B.S.F. Library Vol 2. Two Copies. First editions. Both worn, one poorer than the other, each with slightly different dimensions, but apparently same plates. Good only. 3. Autograph manuscript of the Travels of Tiadatha, c106 leaves, hand-written on both sides. Very good condition, a little spotted to the ends. Obviously, a one-of-a-kind item. Very good condition. 4. The Travels of Tiadatha, a scrap book with numerous newspaper clippings, a couple of dozen or so letters, including one agreeing to publish the book from T Fisher Unwin, also the US copyright agreement. Primarily reviews and letters. Very good condition. 5. Tiadatha, Omnibus of both books. London, Philip Allan, 1935. First edition thus. Limited edition, one of 75 copies. Signed and limited. Signed by both Rutter and Richard B. Ogle, who provided the illustrations. Blind stamp to title page. Spine and boards a little worn, some surface wear. [Attributes: Signed Copy; Hard Cover]
