This artist is known to have been flourishing ca. 1940. Note: This book was sold at Sotheby, London, December 16-17, 1940 ["with a fore-edge painting of Stoke Poges Church"] purchased by Charles J. Sawyer Ltd., listed in their catalogue 162 issued in 1941. Weber Rare Books owned the book around 1988 and sold at the time to Dr. Morgan Patterson.
