Work for the Winter. More or less for Christmas - BELL, Julian - 1935. [1199715]
[N.P. Privately printed for the author] [1935] - Octavo. Single quire, wire stitched into original cream wrappers printed in black. Staples rusty, pervasive water-stain to contents and wrappers. Good. First edition, sole impression. A Bell family copy retained by the author's mother with her pencil monogram VB to upper wrapper. This little Christmas offering of Vanessa and Clive Bell's ill-fated son is a decidedly uncommon book very much in the vein of Clive Bell's Ad Familiaris put out some 18 years earlier. Julian died in action during the Spanish Civil War. [Attributes: First Edition]
