1870s-1880s VICTORIAN MANUSCRIPT ALBUM of - Rev. J. T. Wilson of Wrightington Vi - 1878. 
Manuscript, Southport 1878 - this is a charming and fascinating Victorian Album of Chromoliths and a host of Manuscript material, consisting of nearly one hundred and fifty hand Witten letters and envelopes all with humorous cartoon artwork, the majority of the letters were addressed to 15 Adelaide Street Southport, and 16 Hartwood Road Southport, addressed to a Mrs Marsden, and Rev. W. H. Marsden B.A. Vicar Designate of St Luke's Southport, and a Miss Low, the letters were all from J.T. Wilson, who was the Rev. J. T. Wilson of Wrightington Vicarage, Heskin, Chorley in Lancashire, one piece also gives his address as Ryebrook Hall Heskin Chorley all are dated, with dates from the 1870s to the 1880s as well as the letters there is a hand painted and drawn Christmas scene of boys throwing snowballs at a passing gentleman The whole album being a delightful record of Victorian correspondence the album measures 13 inches by 10 inches approx., running to seventy used pages, and is in a fragile worn state, covers marked and faded with some holes in the cloth and staining, and are separating from the pages, the pages are browned and heavily chipped at edges, with some page loose all pages are pictured so overall condition can be seen AN UTTERLY CHARMING RECORD OF OVER A DECADE CORRESPONDENCE OF FRIEND TO ANOTHER IN VICTORIAN ENGLAND Book is very large and heavy, shipping costs will be higher than the basic standard quote, please enquire for the rates to your country Size: Folio - over 12" - 15" tall [Attributes: First Edition; Hard Cover]
