Multiplitseerit Inimene - Johannes Barbarus - 1927.
Tallinn: Eesti Kirjanikkude Liide Kirjastus 1927 - Octavo, wrappers, 102 (1)pp. Johannes Vares Barbarus (1890-1946) was known as a leftist poet, later heading a puppet government under Soviet auspices during WWII. His verse reached a creative summit in the 1920s with the constructivist poems Geomeetriline inimene (Geometric Man) and the present work Multiplitseerit inimene (Multiplied Man). This second work is considered a further extension of that and greater success and has acquired the reputation as the centerpiece of constructivist tendencies in Estonia. With a very fine cover design by Jaan Vahtra, both this and the Geometric Man are truly international in scope and leading expressions of the international avant-garde. Uncommon and highly sought collectors item, with no North American library holdings, two copies in the UK. [Attributes: First Edition; Soft Cover]
