The Skeleton Horseman; Or, the Shadow of Death - Anonymous - 1866.
Private, UK 1866 - London, 1866. First edition. Penny Dreadful, owner's note stating it's likely the most complete copy in existence. The owner of the book is George Locke, a far wiser expert in these matters than us so I leave it to the buyer to determine the veracity of the claim - if there's ever anyone to compare texts line by line it is George. It is incomplete, missing part 60 (facsimile provided). The print-on-demand copy from the British Library states 502 pages, and Oxford and the BL both hold copies. Condition is good only, some pages heavily worn, some taped in place, some leaves loose, tears and creases etc. Front cover missing, provided in facsimile only. [Attributes: Hard Cover]
