      Octavianus Scotus Venice July 16, 1483 Folio. 371(of 372) leaves. Lacking the preliminary blank (A1). Roman type. Capital spaces not filled in, except the first initial letter "R" in blue (now quite faded). Modern full dark brown calf, blind tooled, spine with red morocco label. First edition of this famous history of Rome by the 15th century historian Blondus (d. 1463). Curiously, this copy has added 3 leaves of index from another work (a text on problems in Aristotle) bound, in error, between final leaves S7 and the register S8. Goff B698; BMC V 277.
