Some foxing and offsetting. Original half calf binding, rubbed. Each illustration contains a form of notation for the rhythm to be played on the huntsmans horn, only one note is indicated, the various calls and signals being based chiefly on rhythm, and the notes being left to the taste and skill of the huntsman. The black square (and its extensions) are crochets (one beat) and two white squares together are a quaver (one beat split into two half beats). One of a limited edition of 200 copies.
