Smith, Alexander (Adams, John; Sargent, Charles Lennox)
The Life Of Alexander Smith, Captain Of The Island Of Pitcairn; One Of The Mutineers On Board His Majesty's Ship Bounty; Commanded By Lieut. Wm. Bligh Written by Smith Himself, on the Above Island, and Bringing the Accounts from Pitcairn, Down to the Year 1815
Boston: Sylvester T. Goss , 1819. Hardcover Good with no dust jacket The only xlib mark is an embossed stamp on the title page. The covers (three-quarter leather) are worn at the edges, with both covers only heald on by a couple of the binding strings. The title page is torn horizontally, with no loss of paper. Stains on the rear endpaper, with staining at the top of the last few pages. The balance of the contents are very good, with moderate foxing, browning & wear. What can I say, it is an old book, which has been read. With all that, if you are looking for it, you know how scarce it is. ; Ex-Library; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 240 pages Good with no dust jacket
