      Groombridge and Sons 1862 - 12 volumes dating from 1862-1868. All volumes uniformly bound in maroon cloth with gilt decoration, in the style of a tradition 3/4 leather binding. 5 raised bands at spines, with gilt decoration. All spines uniformly faded, to brown. All volumes uniformly knocked, rubbed and with bumped corners. Contain numerous black and white illustrations, and also some colour plates. Volume 3 has small tear to top of spine. Volume 4 is pulling at top of spine. Volume 12 has a split starting part way down. All volumes have some mild spotting, but over all very good.
