Tp w/ v. large elabor rubricated royal woodcut seal of King George II. & 1st text leaf w/ another lg. opening letter woodcut initial. On travelling on Scottish roads with wagons, carriages, & carts drawn by horses. Regulations on travel, penalties, tolls. Specifically in the part of England called Scotland the roads cannot be kept in sufficient repair and in many places are ruined by the great & excessive weights which the number of horses carry allowed by law to draw wagons & other carriages. Along the roads, gates & bars are to be set up where tolls & duties will be demanded before any wagons, carts or carriages shall be permitted to pass. Plus other measures. Black letter type.
