Engraved pictorial title of women bathing surprised by a soldier + 3 folding plates +10 woodcuts (including 3 folding) +2 folding tables. Duodecimo original boards with red gilt spine label (worn to hinges and edges but sound) All Edges Rouged. [8]pp +183pp +half title +272pp + [40]pp indices. Old notes to pastedown and some sealing wax marginal repair to rear of frontis without loss & names written (one crossed out) Titlepage with name and 1794 date to blank area. Folds of all three folding plates repaired on back without loss. Library stamp to foot of last index and miniature library label to pastedown asserting that this is withdrawn as a duplicate from the Karolinska Institute. Some browning and a marginal worm hole to some pages resulting in a small tear out (9x5mm maximum) causing loss of page number to 7 leaves but not affecting any text. *Collection of 6 treatises on gynaecology and obstetrics.
