THE BOSTON MAGAZINE; OCTOBER, 1783

      Boston, 1783. First edition. Sewn Binding. Fair. First issue of Boston Magazine, which ran from October, 1783 to December, 1786. Contains; The Animal Kingdom of Linnaeus, Reduced to Classes, Orders, Genera and Specie, A Fable for the Ladies, On the Seduction of Young Women, Transmigration Proved, The Life of Sawney Beane et al. Condition of book is FAIR; Missing the covers, it starts with pp. iii + iv, which is a notice "To the Subscribers for the Boston Magazine." and follows with pages 5-28, so there are some pages missing at the end. Pages are dog-eared, stained & toned, but all text is very legible up to the last 2 pages (pp. 25-28) which are missing about 20% at the corners.
