All six volumes are uniformly bound in mottled dark green leather over bevelled boards, with gold framing on the panels and gold lettering and design on the side; the plate volumes are bound oblong. Covers are somewhat worn; edges are well-rubbed, extremities are peeling. Front panels detached on Volumes III, IV, and both Plate Volumes. Back panel of II also detached. The remaining joints and hinges are tender. End pages are red, wave-patterned, pasted down. The textblocks are sturdy, gilded on all edges, and the pages are clean and intact with some foxing.
