      Jackson, MS: New Stage Theatre, 1990. - 1990 limited edition promotional broadside (i.e. poster) for Jackson, Mississippi's New Stage Theatre production of Reynolds Price's play FULL MOON. Copy #36 of 80 SIGNED IN PENCIL BY EUDORA WELTY, REYNOLDS PRICE, AND JANE REID PETTY as well as one other illegible signature but presumed to be that of Vidal Blankenship who is credited with the broadside's graphic design. White rag paper broadside, approximate dimensions H 25.5 inches x L 14 inches, with black, green, and silver traffic stoplight style illustration; text at bottom of broadside provided as FULL MOON BY REYNOLDS PRICE | A WORLD PREMIER IN THE EDUORA WELTY NEW PLAY SERIES | DIRECTED BY JANE REID PETTY | NEW STAGE THEATRE 1990. Broadside bordered with black paper as background and handsomely presented in an aluminum frame, total dimensions H 29 inches x L 17 inches. Eudora Welty enjoyed a long friendship with Reynolds Price since his student days at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and Price contributed the Foreword to Welty's 1989 book PHOTOGRAPHS. Additionally Welty sat on the board of directors of the New Stage Theatre and lent her name to a long-running new play series. Since Welty's only involvement with FULL MOON was through her association with the play series and not authorship, this broadside is not cited in Noel Polk's EUDORA WELTY; A BIBLIOGRAPHY OF HER WORK.
