Image size with matte, 10 7/8" x 7 7/8"; outside frame dimensions 15" x 12". Frame black, matting is slate. A stylish and immaculate rendering, by noted comics/monster artist Mike Hoffman, of Dark Horse-created comics villain Casanova Frankenstein, here appearing as he does in the comics, a bit more Hugh-Hefnerish than the movie incarnation played by Geoffrey Rush in the 1999 Ben Stiller / William H. Macy / Greg Kinnear / Janeane Garofalo cinematic offering from Kinka Usher. Hoffman, a Frazetta-influenced artist, is known for a variety of comics, magazine covers, CD packages sketchbooks and color collections, and hangs in private galleries. TSome of his titles are: "Tigress," "Lost Worlds," "Monsters & Maidens," "Madame Tarantula," "Octavia," "Sorceress" and the Gothic Western "Ballad of Utopia." He also illustrated a 24-page mag devoted to Russ Meyer's "fastest pussycat" Tura Satana. From the bmonster website, "Hoffman's Monster Muse" : "The prolific artist carries on in the spirit of Frank Frazetta, Wally Wood, Jack Davis and other legendary artists who transformed the tastes of the Monster Generation. His most overt influence is undoubtedly Frazetta, whose muscular barbarians and nubile maidens are flatteringly reincarnated (with a flair that is distinctly Hoffman's) in many of Mike's paintings." - Jeff Harvey Art . Unique. Fine. Illus. by Hoffman, Mike. 10 7/8" x 7 7/8" .
