Imes, Birney with introductory essay by Richard Ford
Juke Joint (First Edition, Signed by Imes and Richard Ford in the Year of Publication)
MS: University Press of Mississippi, 1990 - Hardcover. First Edition, first printing. Fine in a Very Good+ dust jacket. Signed by Imes on the title page in the year of publication: "Birney Imes / Square Books / Oxford / 7.13.90." Richard Ford has added his signature in the same black pen just below, and has additionally signed the book at the inclusion of his introduction. Laid in is a full-color publisher's promotional bookmark for the book (which we've never seen before). Jacket is Near Fine but for a bit of wrinkle toward the crown. A lovely copy, and an uncommon book to find signed by both Imes and Ford. It is significant too that the book was signed in Oxford, Mississippi, in the heart of the very region that is the territory for this book--the Mississippi Delta.
