I will be obliged to you, to send one copy stitched, to mr Blamires not far from you, in the Strand, with this direction upon the cover in which you pack up the parcel, To the Reverend Mr Wray, Darley, near Bakewell, Derbyshire - carriage paid. In 1782 Holmes was chosen to be Bampton lecturer, and during the same year published his eight lectures On the Prophecies and Testimony of John the Baptist, and the parallel Prophecies of Jesus Christ.
