Bomb ketchs were invented by the French Navy in the 1600's in order to bomb port towns on the Barbary coast more efficiently. Package includes: a 138 pp paper back book; profusley illustrated with b & w photos and detailed line drawings; 1 full-color plate giving the color scheme of the period, 3 plates with detailed commentaries on the blocks and a set of plates in the scale of 1/48. THERE SHOULD BE 34 PLATES; HOWEVER THIS COPY IS MISSING 6 OT THEM: nos. 24, 26, 27, 28, 30, 32. BBOK IS SOLD AS IS. Package is encased in hardcover folder with dj; dj has minute closed, edge tear to extreme upper right corner of front panel; and two additional edge tears of approximately 1" to bottom left and right corners of rear panel.
