Anon.
A description of Gibraltar with an account of the blockade, siege, the attempt by nine sail of fire-ships, the sally made from the garrison, and every thing remarkable or worthy notice that has occurred in that place since the commencement of the Spanish war: likewise the vast importance of this valuable fortress to Great Britain clearly stated and explained.
b/w folding map, plate. Lon. 1782. 52, (2) pp. Scarce contemporary account of the Seige of Gibraltar, and an important source for later historians. It includes a large folding plan of the peninsula, with detailed annotations, a plate of a Spanish gun boat, and a list of British ships. OCLC shows 5 institutional holdings of the book, though there are more in microform. However, it is quite scarce in the trade. Bound in original marbled boards, rebacked in period calf with label.
