Latin text, printed in italic letter, light waterstaining, a few early marginalia. Dedicated by Filippo Giunta to Roberto Acciaioli. Nineteenth-century sheep-backed boards, rebacked, sprinkled edges. Quintilian!s twelve-book guide to rhetoric was written in the late first century AD, under Domitian. It was popular with Renaissance humanists such as Petrarch.
