Catholic of Dublin, A [pseud]:
REMARKS ON THE PROTESTANT BARRISTER'S VINDICATION OF THE LATE CONDUCT OF IRISH CATHOLICS.
Dublin: Stockdale, Printer., . 1807 - [2],76pp. Octavo (signed in 4s). Extracted from pamphlet binding, largely untrimmed. Very faint old stamps of a defunct mercantile library, scattered foxing, outwardly somewhat dusty, old binding residue at spine and a few gutters, otherwise a good copy. First edition. A rare response to the pseudonymous pamphlet published the same year under John King's imprint, A VINDICATION OF THE CONDUCT OF THE IRISH CATHOLICS, DURING THE LATE ADMINISTRATION. No copies are reported in OCLC/Worldcat, it is not listed in the NLI online catalogue, and NSTC reports a single copy, in the BL Cat Supp., with a reference there to Thomas Wallace (1768-1844), who may have been the author of the subject pamphlet. By 1805, the radical printer John Stockdale, who had been imprisoned yet again as recently as 1803 for suspicion at the time of the Emmet Rebellion, had largely turned over his printing concern to his sons. Not in Bradshaw, etc.
