Contemporary sheep, backstrip gilt. An exposition of the use of electrical currents in the treatment of paralysis, with chapters on paralysis of the head, torso, shoulder, arm, hand, leg and foot. The plates illustrate apparatus used in treating patients. On verso of p xxvii the author calls the present study “cette seconde partie”. The so-called first volume was published in 1772, but the present work is in fact complete in itself. A fresh copy. Blake, p400.
