Two functioning metal clasps. All edges red. Withdrawn from Mendicant library with minimal marks. Volume is sturdy and usable. Each of the six volumes is prefaced. General light foxing throughout, although some pages are quite bright, others are heavily foxed. Weak joints with a tear to joint and inner margins after the first gathering. Some pages have undergone worming to the lower-right corner, with subsequent repair work. Contains the complete works. Additionally, a general preface, a vita of Saint bernard in seven books, testimony of various Saints and ecclesiastics, a chronology of the works, and an appendix containing the writings of Guerric of Igny and William of Hoyland, disciples of Bernard.
