Appien (ou Appianos, IIe siecle) est un historien grecqui compila l'histoire romaine a partir de documents perdus. L'ouvrage contient de precieux renseignements sur les guerres romaines et sur les belligerants (les Celtes par exemple). Texte latin tel que traduit par Sigismond Gelenius. Cover slightly rubbed, a dog ear, piece of blank paper lacking on title page (removed ex-libris), light stain on first pages. Good overall condition. Appien (or Appianos, 2nd Century) is a Greek historian who compiled this Roman History after lost documents. It contains precious information on Roman wars and on belligerent (Celts for example).
