A few old folds, some light soiling to the verso. Trimmed rather close, touching the headline but with no loss; a very good copy.. Half-sheet broadside, 13-1/2 x 9-1/4 inches. Contemporary annotation in ink on the verso, "31 May 1642. An Act of Secret Counsell." Wing T-2853A [CHECK]; Crawford, Catalogue of British Broadsides, 28: "The Act of the Secret Council, dated 1st June, 1642, declares that they will have a special care not to do anything contrary to the late treaty, or which might infringe the union and peace, or weaken the confidence between the two kingdoms.
