A Relation of the Conference between William Lawd . and Mr. Fisher, the Jesuite. with an Answer to such Exceptions as A. C. [a Catholic, i.e. John Sweet? attributed also to John Fisher] takes against it ["True Relations of Sundry Conferences"] .

      London: Printed by Richard Badger, Printer to the Prince His Highnes, . 1639 - Folio. 11.5" x 7.75" x 1.5". [12pp.]/pp.388 . A very good original full leather binding. Plain brown full calf. Spine (with a very good old reback) with 5 raised bands, gilt banding, and old black leather title label: "Laud's Conference With Fisher". Later free-endpapers (handmade paper). Printed title page (light soiling). HIstorated initial to the beginning of the dedication. Very clean throughout. In part a reply to: A.C. True relations of sundry conferences had betweene certaine Protestant doctours, and a Jesuite called M. Fisher. Originally printed in shorter form as part 2 of STC 25382 (hence described as "this second edition" on A4v; c.f. STC). Referenced by: STC 15298 . Full title reads: "A relation of the conference betweene William Lavvd, then, Lrd. Bishop of St. Davids; now, Lord Arch-Bishop of Canterbury: and Mr. Fisher the Jesuite, by the command of King James of ever blessed memorie. : VVith an answer to such exceptions as A.C. takes against it. / By the sayd Most Reverend Father in God, William, Lord Arch-Bishop of Canterbury.
