Cogan, Thomas
The Haven of Health, chiefly made for the comfort of Students
London, 1600. small quarto (8 by 5.6 inches) no date but probably circa 1600, printed throughout in black letter except for the index and the leaves 'To the Reader', full modern brown calf calf. An incomplete copy lacking title and prelims (except for two leaves To the Reader) and four text leaves. The index ends at the letter P. Many leaves have small ink marks and scribbles, usually in the margins but some in the text, one leaf has a long split repaired, the last index leaf is defective and there is a bit of thumbing. First published in 1584 there were several editions with the last apparently in 1636. In all, reasonable working copy with good margins and a in a sympathetic modern binding. !430.00.
