A Comedy of Terence called Andria Translated into English by Richard Bernard with twenty-five illustrations by Albrecht Durer

      Officina Bodoni, pOne of 160 numbered copies (this one numbered 80). Folio. Translated into Engish by Richard Bernard with twenty-five illustrations by Albrecht Durer. Albrecht Durera!!s illustrations for Andria were made in Basel about 1492 for a planned edition of Terencea!!s comedies on wood-blocks which were never cut and are now preserved in the Kupferstichkabinett of the Kunstmuseum of Basel. The drawings have been copied on new blocks and cut for the first time for this edition by Fritz Kredel. Hand Press. Fine condition hardcover, vellum spine over yellow boards, in slipcase, with volume also in clear plastic cover. SIGNED by Fritz Kredel/p
