MUGLISTON (William)
A Letter, on the Subject of Wool, interspersed with Remarks on Cotton, addressed to the Public at Large, but more particularly to the Committee of Merchants and Manufacturers at Leeds.
Nottingham: Printed for the Author, by H. Cox, 1782. - First Edition, half-title, [4], 5-19, [1]pp., disbound. Mugilston stated that the exportation of raw wool had made for the loss of markets for manufactured articles, and the wearing of fine wool should be fashionable. The machines for preparing cotton yarn had already hurt the woollen trade and enclosures had meant poorer quality wool. Kress, B490; Goldsmith, 12288; Black, 1208; Williams, 11, p.127.
