Recent three-quarter high-quality leatherette over textured cloth, gilt title to spine, endpapers renewed. Light wear to extremities, toning and and light foxing in a few places. Early owner signatures to endleaves and head of title page, interior otherwise fresh. A nice copy in a handsome (really) binding. * Only edition. Smith, the son-in-law of John Adams, and Ogden were accused of aiding and participating in Francisco de Miranda's expedition to liberate Spanish possessions in South America.
