Bound with: Regle des Associes a l'Enfance de Jesus (Cologne: Jean de la Pierre, 1705), with half-title: Suite des Opuscules Spirituels de Mad. Guion. Errata on final page for the Regle and for the Preface to the entire volume, indicating that the publisher intended for these works to be bound together. Former owner's name on blank leaf preceding title page: P.L. Upham. Phebe Lord Upham and her husband, Bowdoin College professor Thomas Cogswell Upham, were leaders of the mid-19th-century American Holiness Movement, which sought to connect with the experiences of earlier mystics, including Madame Guyon, a French Quietist. In 1838 P.L. Upham published Letters of Madame Guyon, while her husband published Life, Religious Opinions and Experiences of Madame de la Mothe Guyon in 1846. In Good+ Condition: corners are rubbed; small loss of leather at corners and ends of spine; leather has been treated with an unknown form of leather preservation material; lacking engraved half-title; foxing along fore-edge of pages 13-40 of main section, heavy on a few Signed.
