Third, greatly expanded edition of Polygamia Triumphatrix (originally appearing as Discursus Politicus de Polygamia, Freiburg, 1674; 76pp, 12mo) by Johann Lyser (1631-1684/5), writing under the pseudonym Theophilus Aletheus. The Leipzig theologian and champion of polygamy boldly presents his arguments in the form of 90 theses (modeled after Luther!), carefully referencing biblical, midrashic, ancient and modern sources. Some attribute this edition to Amsterdam on the basis of an Elzevier fleuron; others to Lund, Sweden. ! First part only of the second edition of Uxor Una (first 1669), a theological disseration by Michael Siricius the Younger (1628-1685). VD17 14:635312Q. Very Scarce. !
