This is a collector's copy recently rebound in 3/4 leather with marbled paper boards. Gilt title on spine. Text tanned otherwise in excellent condition except for few tiny creases bottom corner first four pages. Few small peppercorn size stains on table of contents page. Three small Roman numerals in margin of page 25. 102 pages plus 8 page table of contents and index. This is a series of excerpts from ancient authors, reviewed by the historian Myrsili Lesbii, about the origins of Italy and the Tyrrhenians. The Tyrrhenians were a Pelasgian people who migrated to Italy and formed the parent stock of the Etrurians. The title page states: "Fragmenta vetustissimotum aotorum, summo studio ac diligentia nunc regognita." Photo of the book and copy of the title page are available upon request.
