Sticker residue on ffe; moderate tanning to white areas of pictorial dj. From dj notes: "This book brings together some of the most remarkable photographs taken in the 19th century. They are the work of Dr. H.W. Diamond, a psychiatrist at Springfield Hospital, the former Surrey County Lunatic Asylum, and of an otherwise unknown photographer, Henry Hering, during the 1850s."
