Pound, Ezra
A DRAFT OF CANTOS XXXI-XLl
London: Faber, 1935. Black cloth. pp 62, [2]. Narrow, light, unobtrusive damp stain to upper inner edge of pastedown front and rear, else a fine, bright copy, no owner names. Mauve dust jacket is sunned to grey on spine and front panel, with light damp spots and soft rippling; rear panel has a soft vertical crease and some light spots along bottom margin, else VG, flap price intact, the sunning for this colour more or less inevitable, but the red lettering not faded. In all, quite a decent copy. At rear is the ticket of Shakespeare and Company / Syvia Beach, the fabled Paris bookstore that was so important to the modernist movement in literature. Gallup A37c. Edition of 1500 copies, of which 300 were lost to wartime bombing.. First UK printing. Hardcover.. Octavo..
