The entire south coast of Tasmania is beautifully depicted along with inset plans from other voyages of Storm Bay, Marion Bay, Frederick Hendrik Bay, and Tasmania, mostly based on Valentyn. D'Entrecasteaux's maps are strikingly beautiful & accurate - Matthew Flinders commented that they were the finest specimens of marine survey. Double page, approximately 23 3/4 x 33". Chart no. 3 in top right margin. Minor water stain along top edge in margin. Very good condition. Tooley 544. Lower third of Tasmania with expedition route and dates. Couple of restored nicks on center fold. Lower impression mark visible.
