Charles Chauncy was the most influential clergyman in Boston at the time of the American Revolution. This sermon is a plea to remove sin from a people at war. It discusses the catastrophic depreciation of currency and its effects, and gives an account of the expedition to expel the British from Rhode Island. Evans 15759.
