Vineland - Rare First Printing

      Boston, Massachusetts, U.S.A.: Little Brown & Co, 1990. NEAR FINE jacket in a near fine book. The flaws are on the edge of being irritating rather than really substantial. There is a softening of one corner of the book's binding. It affects the lower front corner. And the sleeve, which has no damage to it in terms of chipping, clipping or creasing, is a trifle sun damaged, particularly on the spine. But again I must emphasize this is SLIGHT. The book looks great at first glance and as such it is quite rare, an unread looking hardback first printing of the first US hardback edition with a protected unclipped jacket. For all my caveats, this remains a great collectable world first edition, and it is a rare example of a first printing which mostly managed to disappear into libraries..
