SEVARIED, ARNOLD E[ric].

Canoeing with the Cree.

Macmillan, New York 1935 - First edition, 8vo, pp. xii, [2], 201; full-p. map and 31 illustrations on rectos and versos of 8 plates; very good copy in a substantially chipped (but in our experience most uncommon) dust-jacket, with bottom inch of spine gone, top of spine chipped, and small pieces missing from the extremities. This is the first book of the nationally-known broadcast journalist, Eric Sevareid, a native Minnesotan, who, as a college student, canoed with a companion from Minneapolis to York Factory on Hudson Bay. This copy signed by Sevareid on the front free endpaper. [Attributes: First Edition; Signed Copy; Hard Cover]
